Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars darken, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
