The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 that hide, 16 And the close of night, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
