The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
