The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger, Angel Jibreel - peace and blessings be upon him. 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
