Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
