Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
