Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
