Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, recording, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
