Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
