Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
