Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
