Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
