Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
