Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
