The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
