The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
