The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
