The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
