The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
