The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
