Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
