The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

Almighty God's Truth.
