The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
