The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is no merriment. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 and so am I: 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
