The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
