The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
