The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
