The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
