Al-A'alaa

The All High (Al-A'alaa)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

True are the words of God the Almighty.
