The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
