The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
