The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
