The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
