The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
