The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
