The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
