Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 raised couches, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
