Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 So do they not see the camel - how it has been created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the mountains - how they have been established? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
