Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
