The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
