Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
