Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
