Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
