Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
