Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
