The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
