Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
