The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
