The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
