The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
